User Experience Designer
Our client is an innovative award winning digital agency based in Newcastle upon Tyne, serving an international client base across a variety of sectors, including education, retail, fashion, construction, professional services and leisure.

As a UX designer you’ll be driven by understanding the needs of our client’s customers, carried out through audience research and profiling, be analytical in your approach to problem solving and user journey flows, be fluent in best practice UX principles, ensuring that a first class digital experience is delivered for clients' customers
As a practicing UX professional you will:
Work in collaboration to deliver the highest quality user focused digital concepts and products
Work in an agile delivery team and display excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills
Be prepared to take the lead in user focused design principles and best practice,
Conduct user research, including audience profiling workshops, stakeholder and user interviews
Manage quantitative and qualitative research projects recommending appropriate methodology to gather actionable customer insights
Create customer personas, user journey mapping and ecosystems
Carry out usability research on web and mobile applications
Present user focused insight and recommendations to project and client stakeholders, evidenced by research and data
Understand the role that content plays in the UX process and provide support/guidance on content strategy
Keep abreast of industry trends, web development technology and advancements and challenge the status quo, championing new thinking
Skills and Experience Required
Degree level in a relevant subject to the role
Minimum of two years + proven work in user research and experience design
High-level computer and software skills including design and testing tools relevant to your role
Strong attention to detail and analytical approach to problem solving
Excellent interpersonal, written communication, persuasive and presentation skills
Experience performing stakeholder interviews and requirements gathering workshops
Knowledge of user research methodology and experience in audience profiling workshops and interviews
Experience in developing personas and complex customer journey mapping
Knowledge of web standards, technologies, and terminology
Ability to fulfil and facilitate UX/IA requirements on any given project
Self-motivated with the drive to achieve successful outcomes
Team player able to collaborate and work effectively with colleagues and clients
