Digital Creative Strategist
Full Time - Permanent
Salary £35,000 - £40,000

They are looking for a Digital Creative Strategist to join their talented Digital team. A creative thinker who will be responsible for ideation, creative and ownership of multi-channel digital campaigns working with in-house team members, client-side managers and partner agency groups.

Working closely with clients and understanding their business objectives and target audience is key to delivering considered, effective, creative solutions. From initial conversations, scope, UX to creative iteration, release and beyond our successful candidate with support will take ownership of projects on a day to day basis and longer-term visions of the agency and their clients.

Desirable strategic attributes and capabilities:

Understands omni-channel marketing in the context of consumer goods and the specific roles of digital

Knowledge on the challenge of delivering seamless integration of campaigns (i.e. building brand equity AND driving sales)


Expected to take lead on…

Conducting critical evaluation/audit of client/prospect ‘digital engagement’ activities

Make objective (evidence-based) recommendations on strategic priorities for given digital channels/touch points (informed by data and professional practice)

Coordinate internal stakeholders in the preparation of tailored proposals (in both pitch and ‘live’ brief scenarios)

Confident to lead strategic digital components of workshop, agency group sessions and client meetings

Thought leadership and the potential to work towards playing a role in representing at certain industry events, where relevant.


Responsibilities:

Facilitate the client’s product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products.

Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.

Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.

Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.

Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.

Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.

Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.

Ownership as part of a team of campaign KPIs tracked through goals and analytics.
Requirements

Proven Senior-level digital experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments.

Expertise in standard Creative & UX software such as Photoshop, Sketch, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer, and the like is a must. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.

Ability to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision.

Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.

A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.

Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.

Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.

A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking.

Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model, to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.

Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.

Be passionate about design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.

Experience of email marketing in particular how to design an email to encourage engagement and enhance click rates.

Experience of designing SEO friendly web pages with a thorough understanding of the fundamentals that need to be factored in.
