Job Description

Our client, who is a full service digital and creative agency, located in Newcastle upon Tyne, are looking for an SEO specialist to join their fun, energetic team.
As an SEO specialist, you will be acting as the lead SEO and paid search contact on a wide variety of client accounts in a variety of sectors.

You will be required take a holistic approach to digital marketing, with a strong grasp of the wide range of techniques available including technical SEO, relevancy and authority, conversion rate optimisation, content marketing and paid search channels such Google AdWords.

SEO Specialist Responsibilities:

Design and deliver SEO campaigns that make customers more successful online
Plan, deliver & manage Google AdWords campaigns that increase customers online visibility
Execute in-depth SEO audits on potential and current customer websites
Working collaboratively with the in-house designers, developers and strategy team
Acting as the lead SEO, Content, Conversion rate optimisation and Paid Search contact
Offering pre-sales support where necessary to help grow client base
Regular data analysis to spot performance trends and deliver useful insights to clients
Developing and leading cutting edge SEO, Content and Conversion rate optimisation strategies, maintaining activities within project management workspaces, delivering monthly performance reports and being involved in regular client meetings

SEO Specialist Essential Skills:

• Search Engine Optimisation
• SEO analysis, planning and strategy creation
• Google AdWords
• Minimum 3 year’s SEO experience



SEO Specialist Non-Essential Skills:

• Google AdWords certified
• Knowledge of paid search platforms (other than Google AdWords)
• Knowledge of design packages (E.G. Adobe Photoshop)
• Any coding knowledge
• Knowledge of WordPress

SEO Specialist Day to Day Tasks:

• Performing ongoing keyword research including discovery & expansion of keywords
• Researching and implementing content recommendations for organic success
• Formulating content strategies for key clients with the aim of increasing linkable
assets and online visibility
• Execute tests, collect and analyse data and results, identify trends and insights in
order to achieve maximum ROI from search campaigns
• Optimising copy and landing pages for search engine optimisation
• Research and implement search engine optimisation recommendations
• Research and develop link building and content strategies alongside our earned media
team
• Implement link building and content strategies alongside earned media team
• Work with the development team to ensure best practices are properly implemented on
newly developed code
• Work with the development team on technical SEO fixes such as site speed, AMP and
PWA implementation and more
• Work with editorial and design teams to drive content creation and content
programming
• Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to
improve positions for target keywords
• Reporting trends and insights to our clients and other members of the team
