Based: Cramlington

The Global Digital Analyst is a relatively new role within our client’s business and one which has been developed to support reporting on digital activities across their brand.

As a vital part of the Global Brand Build team you will help to evaluate the impact of marketing activities across all digital channels and deliver insights and recommendations to improve performance. You will have the opportunity to shape the KPIs we follow and deliver insights that drive forward performance across digital platforms.

This is the perfect role for someone who is passionate about making sense of the mountains of data now available to us in the digital world and can be proactive in proposing changes and tests to improve our digital performance.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Key responsibility for diagnosing issues in our analytics profiles and proactively suggesting solutions to the business

Using Google Analytics and heatmapping tools to monitor web traffic trends and deliver insights to improve performance of brand websites

Making the Global Platforms Manager aware of any poor performance or unusual issues and recommending steps to address these issues

Overseeing search marketing activities to ensure we have the correct objectives in place to drive targeted and traffic to our digital brand experiences

Advising on any content opportunities that arise from the data, including gaps in organic rankings that could be addressed through additional content.

Reporting on social media activity around the brand, benchmarking against our competitor’s activity

Monitoring our email marketing programme and producing recommendations to improve performance

Key stakeholder in our online reviews programme

Building relationships with digital stakeholders globally to foster an environment of collaboration

Work closely with the Global Campaigns Manager and Global Platforms Manager to report on key products and campaigns

Support the digital team in collating stats and insights for the quarterly brand health check

Stakeholder Management

The role requires interaction with stakeholders around the business. Including:

• The Global Digital Team
• The Global Category Team
• Heads of Regional Marketing & Global Trade Marketing
• Regional Brand Activation & Trade Marketing Managers
• Regional Digital Marketing Managers
• External agencies

Key Performance Indicators as Global Digital Analyst

Improvements in awareness, engagement and conversion metrics
Enhancing awareness of performance across the business
Specific metrics across digital channels, email marketing KPIs, SEO ranks, PPC performance

Essential Job Knowledge, Skills, Education & Experience relevant to the role:

A self-starter by nature with a ‘can do’ attitude. Proactive in suggesting improvements, curious nature to delve into data and work with stakeholders across the business to solve problems

Digital native with in depth knowledge of Google Analytics

In depth knowledge of Excel to work with data and create insightful visuals

Familiarity with social media tools including Facebook Insights and ideally experience using broader social listening software

Able to present findings concisely

Comfortable with marketing terminology and acronyms

Experience of working with paid media channels and a strong technical knowledge of search marketing

Excellent, proven effectiveness at stakeholder management/ collaboration

Ability to manage time across multiple projects and prioritise tasks accordingly

Desirable Job Knowledge, Skills, Education & Experience relevant to the role:

• Online marketing experience within a B2C environment
• Experience of managing agencies
• Technical knowledge of SEO, CRO and/or website migrations
• Educated to degree level in a marketing or analytical field
• Specific analytical or Excel based qualification
• Knowledge and experience of working within an international organisation
